Why he pulled away his phone?

We've been texting every day, meeting every week. Things are going well, with a little bit flirting here and there. Today we met and he showed some videos on his phone. Some notifications came in but I didn't look at them as I think it is morally wrong because it is his privacy. But right after that, he pulled his phone away and we just stopped watching the video. Even though I didn't know who's texting him and what's the context, but I feel awful. I kept silent right after that until I arrived home. He tried to make a conversation with me but I just couldn't talk to him and kept silent. Is it right to still talk to him in the same manner as before? Because currently I'm considering to cut him off

As of right now it’s none of your business, and if you don’t like that then maybe it’s time to ask him where you guys stand or even ask where the connection is going. Trying to figure it out on your own like this because you’re afraid of running him off is just silly. If he’s not interested in the same thing as you then he’s going to run no matter what.
