What is his deal? Did he lose his phone?

.There is this guy who has been doing construction work for his dads company (we are both 18) who seemed to like me. So, I asked him to come to a chocolate tasting event that I was running. He showed up, and even took notes on the chocolate. and then he asked me to sit with he and his brother in law for dinner. After, he gave me his number. I texted him mine. The following night, he texted me "when can I take you out" so I suggested a few weekdays and he asked if I was free that weekend. I told him no, because I was going away, but i'd be back monday. I called him on sunday night (3 days after texting ) to let him know I was returning, and left a message.

It has been 5 days since he asked me out and no reply! what happened?

OK, so almost 6 days later he texted me to tell me that he was by my house and how I am doing.

i said I'm good, and asked if he still wanted to go out, and he texted me back "Yeah, whenever we're both free ;) " this was while he was working.

and then I texted him back "good, when are you free?" and it has been a long time since then, likke 6 hours. he's probably still working but I hope he's not playin with me.

OK, so now it is the next morning after yesterdays texting, and he is working by my house again. he obviously had the initiative to ask me out last week, but is he shy now or something . If you reflect upon the last 2 updates, I feel like he is .

making small talk and is apparently shy.he asked me "hows it going" and how are things? in two texts of one convo. and then I had to be the one to say "you still want to go out." and his reply "thats good. yeah, whenever we're both free" lacks.
