For context I'm 23 (f) and there's this guy in my college class who I'm friendly with acquaintence wise but we're not friends at all, yet the other day he greeted me like this...

It might be just him being friendly. It's not an indicator that he's attracted to you. It can be an indicator if it were one of several things you had noticed that indicate attraction.

This is something I would do (and I'm sure I've done it multiple times at different points).

I'm not saying he's not attracted to you. Maybe he is. I'm just saying don't think of this as INDICATING he is attracted to you. By itself it can go either way. It's a friendly gesture to someone who is just an acquaintance. But whether it's more is impossible to say from this alone.
