If a person is fighting your partner to win your affection and they won, would you leave your partner for them?

Just had a random thought after watching wild animal documentaries. It’s interesting how in nature, the male usually fight for the right to mate with the female - the females would choose whoever is the strongest to mate with. Do you think this also applies to humans? I personally wouldn’t leave my man just because he lost a fight, it’s the effort that matters.

I don’t think men would do it so much. But I believe a lot of women will. As much as men here are saying no this doesn’t apply to humans, it does. Women have left men because he got beat up in a fight. They didn’t see him the same. Many have admitted that it was a turn off, thinking he’s supposed to protect me but he can’t even fight. So it does happen. Women have left their partners for a man who has more resources. I know we’re talking about physically fighting, but I think sort of that fight isn’t just physical as far as an altercation. Women are geared more toward men who have resources, who can provide. So he a may not even have to physically fight for her but she will go w him if he has everything she wants. Whether that’s status, money, size, etc. Women have left because he their man cried in front of them, especially if he was this big muscular, masculine man. Some of them don’t see him the same, it’s a turn off. So yes I do believe this happens to humans as well.

Good point! I guess some people do lose respect for their partner once they’ve lost (be it to a physical fight, resources, looks, etc). I’ve had a case where my ex didn’t even speak up on my behalf when I got groped in front of him, I have to admit that I did lose my respect for him. I didn’t leave him because of it though.

Exactly. I’m glad you pointed that out. Yes a lot of women would lose respect for their man if he didn’t stand up for her. So it does happen.

I don't think I like the idea of two girls physically fighting over me. I've got no desire to date Valentina Schevchenko or Holly Holm, pretty as they are.

If Girl A and Girl B started punching each other over who gets to date me, I'd probably try to break up the fight.

I think it might be kind of a sex fantasy for a lot of girls though. Like she's chained to a big rock, wearing some impractical metal bikini, and a short distance away two big, sweaty, hulking barbarian types are trying to kill each other with broadswords. And the winner gets to unchain her, take her back to his barbarian abode, and have his way with her. Maybe I'm wrong about that though.

No. This doesn't apply to humans. My partner wouldn't leave me because some guy beat me in a fight.

That's just not how people work. In reality, my partner would hate some guy who beat me in a fight. People have emotions. It changes everything.

Im not sure if female animals are completely happy that their male gets beaten and all of sudden they have a new male to make love with because he won. Feels more like they are forced to accept the outcome of the fight 😂
