Do men marry a woman who doesn't work?

Of course most normal men would marry a woman who, so-called (!) doesn't work... Never forget that a plain household involves a lot of work.

This being said, I left the choice to my wife, who would have prefered to have an income of her own, and actually she did have a job during a few years, and later as an independant worker, an activity she could perform at home. She didn't want me to do household chores, claiming this was her job !

To be honest, whatever job she would've chosen I was happy for her being able to work home, I mean as well her professional activity as the household...

Couples do not always have the choice in order to pay the bills and general costs of life. Once again, the truth is not black or white.

@melanie31 They do, but it certainly does not make for a level playing field for a married couple. I want to see a woman have the means to support herself if she decides the marriage does not work, RATHER than be tied to a shitty marriage for financial reasons

A lot of men would at least be willing to, yes. And actually, what most men don't realize is that they could totally afford to marry a woman who isn't bringing in money. That lifestyle is very much within reach for people who are willing to make the sacrifices to make it work.

If I did, I would not marry a woman who's not working

My mom works two jobs. If she didn't, we'd be in huge trouble. My dad was laid off multiple times, because of trumps economic policies. He's working again, thanks to biden, but, we still owe a lot of money to IRS

Define "work". The housewives I know work their butts off to make their homes and their husbands mostly work 50 or 60 hour weeks so they're able to provide everything they need.

Some do and would. Some would work with her through her career and be prepared to support her changing her career to bring her happiness and contentment not wealth and prosperity (I did).

Nah I don’t think so I think guy wants to marry a girl who is working or make some money some way. I think it’s okay if she doesn’t need to work if she has kid's with the guy.

Men who have the means to financially support a family tend to prefer a woman whose priorities are taking care of the home and family, as long as she is willing to work as hard at that as he does at providing for their family.
