Why is it so awkward when we talk?

A guy and I get on really well through text/messaging but why is it awkward when we talk? its like there is a tension, not in a bad way.

He’s really confident around other guys and girls, but it’s like he becomes serious with me. I am pretty chilled, so not sure why we can’t relax around each other.

Because you don't have romantic intentions with other people. SMILING will give your mind the message to be less stressed as long as you feel the cheer in the smile and not fake it. That way you'll appear happy and this will spread to the other
