Why do we both feel just as awkward around each other?

So im abit confused I was crushing on this guy and he’d act normal with me he’d be polite and make convo, there was no tension. Since he found out I like him he’s been trying to talk to me but is a lot more observant. He smiles and looks down and acts shy at times. He avoids me at certain times too and other times talks.

how do we both feel just as awkward around each other? Why’s anything changed just him knowing I like him! Also I think it’s rare for a crush to like you back to the point where you both feel awkward?

because a different situation happened where I found out another guy liked me however I didn’t feel awkward when I was around him.

He may be a bit nervous now since he doesn't want to wreck his chances with you now that he knows you like him too. Maybe bring up the awkwardness in a joking way or admit you're also a little bit nervous. It may help him come out of his shell, especially if he is shy.

He was first to know that I like him through someone close to him. So I don’t know if he has just started liking me because of knowing that. However I don’t think you’d just be attracted to someone because they’re attracted to you?

true, I don’t know if he started liking me after knowing I like him that’s what I’m confused about. It also doesn’t make sense as guys who’ve crushed on me before I’ve not liked them back vice versa.

Really? You both know that you both like each other. Now the real pressure is on. You both know that you now really have something real to loose, and that can’t be easy. Not for either of you? Just give him a break, I’m sure he’s just very nervous.
