Guys used to stare at me but now stopped?

He stared at me for 8 months but i did not notice him until he went to check my receipt.
after this I stared at him back when he stared at me but now he just ignore me?
i don’t really understand?

why would he stare so much just to now ignore me when i notice him? He barely looked at me (and it was more than likely he only did look at me because I did it first while he used to do it so much before).

Why would a Guy do this? Is he not interested anymore? Or does he have a girlfriend already? ( He was spending so much time texting on his phone instead of working)

He also search a coworker of his then they both looked in my direction but did not look at me and he went away so i m afraid he s creeped out by me (because i was looking at me trying to get him to notice le : understand his behavior)
