Should I be flattered or insulted that only old men approach me?

25F but I look younger I've been told. Guys my age stare but never approach or engage in conversation with me even with casual stuff the air feels thick, they seem uncomfortable. But older men have no problem approaching me.

Older men were raised differently and haven’t grown up in a society that punishes them for initiating interactions with women. Some of them have learned the hard way. Others have yet to learn.
Younger men have been told repeatedly from a very young age that it’s toxic to approach women who have not clearly demonstrated interest and given their consent. Some of them have experienced the harsh consequences themselves or observed other men going through it.
If you like a man, tell him. Trust me when i say he will almost certainly pick up the ball and run with it once you’ve made it clear you like him and consent to his affection for you.
