Guy's Behavior

I am confused about this guy?

So last year I messaged this guy who I used to work with and see if he is down to catch up since it has been so long. So 2 weeks later he responded and said I'm doing well its so nice to hear from you how's your dog doing? yeah forsure my schedule is all over the place but I'm down to catch up. let me know when your thinking and we'll set it up. So I would send my availability and no response then 2-3 follow up messages no response. I don't know if he's shy or ignoring me? so a bit of context we used to be coworkers for 3 years but met 6 years ago and we didn't talk much at work but there were a lot of non verbal communication like eye contact, physical touch on arms, shoulders, slight touch on the hand and hand on thigh/knee, mirroring like standing in front of me, he would say things like I would like to pick your brain or you should go to _______ sometime and I said maybe you should try ______ sometime and he said I already did. I remembered when I was walking towards the building and he saw me through the window and got the door for me. We went through a fire drill together, move from office building to another, packing and unpacking the office and spending time together while working. I remembered when he was struggling to get his labels printed and he would ask me to print them out for him and even tried to fix his label maker for him. He would rescue me from a situation pertaining someone who was interested in our services and he would take over. In 2022, I decided to resign from my job of 4 years and I didn't tell him but he found out about it through the company system he was the first one. So the next day he wanted to have a conversation with me and he said your leaving aren't you and I said I am as of next week and he said when I first found out I was like "you go girl you are my inspiration" So in the conversation he proceeds to open up about his personal life like dropping our of college/university, future plans like getting married/having kids, etc.

I am confused about this guy?
