Do guys regret fumbling a girl if they had been trying to get her for a while?

Basically me and this guy at my work had been flirting for about 6/7 months. Nothing happened when i worked there, as he was my manager so i felt a bit cautious

He would always ask if I was single/ how my dating life was going but didn't really do much apart from that.

he did get back together briefly with an ex but when he was back with her, still kept asking how my dating life was all time and we had brief flirting during this time as well.

when they broke up we matched on hinge a few weeks later and though we arranged to meet up he seemed distant and didn't really message much as he said he wanted a bit of fun. I didn't really mind this as i didn't want a boyfriend and was happy to see how things went

I went round his and he ended up kicking me out right after we slept together. When i next saw him he seemed shocked when i said i didn't want to meet up again due to the kicking out stuff

However months later when we saw each other again he seemed happy to see me and was very starey and hovered a lot. I found out the ex he had gotten back with had cheated on him and he found out

Just wondered if he ever regretted how he treated me that night, based on his stareing/hovering when we did then see each other and if finding his ex cheated on him played a part in that

Do guys ever regret fumbling a girl they’ve been trying to get with? Sure. But does this guy regret fumbling you, my personal opinion about this is no.


For one, you two had an agreed upon arrangement. This wasn’t a date or even a step towards dating, just two adults that agreed on having some fun. He didn’t lose you. Sure there could’ve been better aftercare and not just booting you out but if he’s blunt enough to basically say all he wanted was sex, then I’m not surprised he didn’t bother to cuddle or hangout after the deed was done. He got what he was “trying to get”, conquest acquired, that’s not fumbling a missed opportunity.


As for the staring, he never stopped finding you physically attractive and he wasn’t the one who put a stop to all this. You had a perfectly fine and fair reason for calling it off but again, that was your choice. He can’t fumble an opportunity he never backed out of.

Sure if I was actually interested in her. He doesn't sound actually interested in you just your body. You said yourself that you weren't really looking for a boyfriend or something serious. He wasn't either. He was just looking for a rebound after his ex. It didn't work out going back to her and so he's putting out feelers to you because you put out easily. He's not regretting his choices and if he tells you that it's to get back into your pants.
