Why do guys loose intrest on a girl they waited for a year for a girl to be impressed?

there is this guy on whom i had a crush on for many years , who confessed me after my break up with my ex ( he is a good friend of my ex) . it took me years to move on form my ex and he waited for me for almost a year and he tried his best to impress me. and now when i started expressing my feelings towards him, he kinda ignores and say things to make me jealous , its been 2 weeks since he started ignoring me and acting weird does this signify tht he lost intrest and is bored of me when i started expressing my feelings

What does happen? Over the course of a year or longer that he’s been into you he’s created a fantasy in his head of who you are… Not the real you unfortunately what happens is. When people finally do date you aren’t all they thought you would be. So they loose interest.

I don’t think it’s meant to be I think you should tell him that it’s not going to work out between you. I think part of him is also probably bitter that he waited so long just to be disappointed.

That is not to say anything is wrong with you… He just probably made you out to be a whole other person. If someone’s ignores you they aren’t worth your time.

He probably should have moved on a long time ago frankly but you gave him a chance. I think this just will never end well

I'm not chasing someone that isn't worth my time or doesn't put enough effort into showing me that she likes me and wants to be with me.

I don't follow a woman that doesn't want my attention or doesn't reciprocate it
