Why does he avoid asking my name?

He is a regular at the café I work at. We were familiar w each other somehow from first sight and he was the one who initiated flirtation. He actually was quite persistent w the flirtation because at first I wasn’t sure o should reciprocate but then I did.

He doesn’t spare me compliments about my dedication or handwriting or discipline. However he never asks my name. Ever. It bothers me honestly because he flirts so openly and boldly and we’ve had multiple interactions by now but he won’t even ask my name? Why? Doesn’t he consider it weird?
He is polite to my coworker too, has only had small interactions w her and never flirted with her, yet he had still asked her name. Why he never asks mine?

I have been in a number of situations where I interact regularly with someone but never got their name, and after a while I'm too embarrassed to ask because I feel I should know it by that point.
