Why doesn't he say my name?

I have a male acquaintance that I have known for about 4yrs now.

The strange thing is, I have never heard him say my name, not once, never. Is this not a bit strange? Am I missing something, is there any meaning attached to this?

i don't lie when I tell you that I was just wondering the same thing. I always make note of it to say his name when I speak to him, but never has he addressed me by my name. You're not the only one who thinks it's weird. I don't want to be judgmental and say that maybe he doesn't say it because he might call you by someone else's name. besides, that doesn't go for everyone, and four years is enough time to know your name. it's weird, but I don't think it's a big deal to guys (but I won't know unless a guy answers...)

i'm really shy, and I rarely address people by name. it might be something like that. does he make point of avoiding it, or does it just never really come up?

Honestly, I might be. I know it sounds silly but I'm pretty painfully shy, especially if I like the person. I'm not necessarily saying that is what's going on with him, but it is possible.
