Women are more comfortable with platonic intimacy, and since men receive so little intimacy they confuse physical intimacy (ie a hug) for sexual intimacy (making out with the intention it leads to sex) they assume all women must be secretly attracted to each other rather than just admit their masculine-focused community actively damages them socially.
