If he says I’m like a little sister to him, does that mean I have no chance with him?

I have been going through a lot this year, and a few of my friends quit talking to me. I don’t know why, but I assume It’s probably my fault somehow.
I was feeling very insecure and was confused as to why he (the guy I am asking about) genuinely liked being around me, so I asked him why he still talks to me. (I didn’t ask it in a rude tone and explained that I’m glad he does talk to me.) He told me that he likes talking to me because it feels like he is talking to his little sister and he’s always wanted a little sister.

That kind of hurt because I developed feelings for him a few months ago, and I thought he might have felt the same. We have been friends for a year, and we usually message each other daily. Whenever he responds late, he apologizes for it and explains he was busy with work. He always invites me to go out with him to different places or asks me to come over. He asks me how I’m doing and shares with me his problems and worries. He talks about his plans for the future and opens up about painful moments from his past. Also, there were moments where I thought he was really flirting with me. Maybe it was just my imagination creating what I wanted to see?

I know that he likes sexy women. I am not mysterious, seductive, or alluring at all. I run into walls and forget my own name when meeting new people.

Do I have a shot at all?

I’m updating because I was reminded of something that confuses me.

If he only sees me as a little sister, then why does he often ask me to send him pictures?
He likes when I send pictures of my face, but he prefers when I send pictures that also show what I’m wearing.
I assumed he liked fashion, but he told me he doesn’t.
