Why do men avoid eye contact during conversation?

Have you experienced this personally? Maybe it’s the country you’re from but we don’t do that in America where we never look at you unless its a shy kid too afraid to look at the girl in the eyes

Generally not true that men avoid eye contact during conversations, but keeping too long eye contact can lead to an unconfortable feeling for both. When talking to someone I nearly always want eye contact, but I also learned not to insist too much by shifting now and then a little my gaze from the person's eyes. I guess, for some to me obscure reasons, people felt judged.

During many years I got negative comments about my habit to always look people in the eyes... Keep in mind that in some cultures, as for instance in Africa, eye contact is often considered an aggression, and often people talk to each other while walking at the other side of a path.

If you have doubts about the caution one should keep around eye contact, observe what happens in the world of animals. Keep you gaze for instance in the eyes of dog you're not familiar with, a cat, a horse, birds, and you'll understand.

That's what happens if your beautiful or wearing something hot. Some women can just make certain clothes look really good. Some girls wear there hair. so it flows with them there's all kinds of reasons. Some guys if they are talking and if they are liying they look away. But most of the time the guy thinks your beautiful and he's shy

When I look people in the eyes I feel emotions i can't explain. they don't feel like my emotions. In general guys aren't good at dealing with emotions. I feel like looking a person in the eyes isn't something to be taken lightly. So I tend not to look people in the eyes unless it's worth feeling the emotions that comes with it... I'm probably just crazy and this is just me, but that's my crappy excuse 💩

There’s a number of reasons. They’re not confident in talking to you, or ashamed maybe depending on what the conversation is about. Maybe he’s looking at your rack. In some cultures it’s a sign of disrespect to look someone in the eyes when talking to them. Maybe they’re scared. There’s a lot of reasons.

It’s the way we communicate. Haven’t you noticed when men talk to other men we usually stand side by side and don’t look at each other . Women on the other hand talk face to face and there’s the conflict. Women expect us to talk face to face and consider us looking elsewhere as not paying attention or listening. This isn’t true. We really are listening just in our own way

Our sex drive loves looking at the female body. We can't completely control our urges. I think we can control about 90 percent of them, but the desire to look at the female body is beyond our control, so we shift our eyes around.
