Is it just me or when you really like a guy, he becomes the most attractive man in your eyes?

I mean subjectively you can appreciate that there are other good looking men, but when you start developing feelings for someone, even if they were initially a 6/10 in your eyes, they become a 10/10 over time, as you get to know more about them and learn about their character and interests. I don’t know, I guess for me at least, looks only matter to a degree, beyond that…my attraction is solely based on how well we get along and their personality and character.

I agree 100% I've been with very pretty women i just wanted to get away from and I've been with average looking women who left me for not having a personality as big as theirs... Personality matters so much more we all get old and one day won't be pretty anymore I'd like to find someone who matches my energy I can laugh with then someone who looks like a trophy now. That being said to find that person I am my best self and as a result like to think i look pretty good. Great relationships are about growing together not changing for and because each other.

I do need to find her physically attractive, but it's everything else that matters. I need someone who I want to spend the rest of my life with, because that is what matters most to me. It is how they would fit with me personality wise and if I think I could be myself around her. There was one girl who everything snowballed together, and I suddenly was head over heels for her.
