If he’s that self-deprecating, I wouldn’t stick around too long. Insecure or not, it sounds like a super unhealthy mindset he’s going to rely on you to fix at best, or emotional manipulation at worst.


Next time he asks that, tell him, “Every time you say that, it makes me think you don’t want to be here. If that’s the case and you’re not interested, that’s fine, I’d just rather you be honest with me instead of trying to spare my feelings.”

So I said it! I also added “how am I suppose to be 100% myself with you as a person, verbally, sexually when you make me feel like Iike you’re doubting me.
