I avoid eye contact with my crush, is it off putting?

So here's my situation. I recently met someone who at 1st I didn't like at all, I made heavy eye contact to make sure they knew I didn't immediately put my trust in them. When I made eye contact with him I felt like I saw into his soul and he saw into my soul. I didn't expect things to get deep in that way but I didn't realized I liked him truly until the 3rd day of eye contact and some words back and forth. I noticed that we both maybe felt something about eachother and he is very reactive which I found super cute. I'm the opposite where I hide my feelings, he doesn't. He's very assertive and that 1st moment of eye contact really struck me hard bc he didn't back down and he also wasn't offended. Anyways when I knew I liked him and things were deeper than I realized I stopped making eye contact It's so hard.. he might be aware of this bc I haven't made eye contact in days. How do guys feel about that? Like someone you know who likes you avoiding eye contact?

I would find the change in behavior very puzzling and be wondering if she was upset with me. To answer your question, it is more of a concern than a turn off.

I got nervous. He is very reactive, assertive. I don't know if i look at him he will know how i feel

Yes. At 1st before i started avoiding eye contact (school setting) i felt like the teachers and other parents caught on to us possibly having a thing for eachother and started looking at me funny which made my anxiety worse. So i pulled back bc the teachers looked like they knew I was into the teacher lol and then as time went by i started getting nervous just seeing him each day. I didn't want to make it weird, but i ended up making it weird anyway

Sorry I misunderstood. His employer may have a rule about dating parents, so you have to be careful if you decide you want things to get more serious.

Yeah thats another issue that got in the way. Its just too risky. But yeah i do still wonder about him. I hope he doesn't think im being super rude by not giving eye contact bc that's not my intention. At some point i will have to. He's a substitute for this month so the last time we see each other could be any day now
