Why does my boyfriend act mean, and cold towards me on the phone around his coworkers?

When ever he texts me, or is at one with me he’s sweet, and is more respectful. But at work he is cold and yells at me, and acts like a chore to say he loves me, like someone is forcing him to even when I’m being kind, and respectful. He acts like a different person like I don’t even know him. He’s 41 years old.

When you say at work does that mean you two work together? I’m not making excuses for him but do you call him a lot, bother him a lot at work? If so maybe he’s getting irritated w that. Not only that if you want me to be honest w him being older. A lot of men his age, my age, we don’t say those things especially in public. You won’t get it, you’re not a man. But you’re putting him on the spot to say those things. For you it’s easy. It’s acceptable among women, other men aren’t going to bag on you, tease you, etc.

He sounds like an asshole who can't deal with you bothering him at work. He has work to do. Stop calling and texting him when he's working unless it's an actual emergency. You're being a nuisance and can get him in trouble for talking on the phone on company time (unless he's the boss or has a job where he can just yap on the phone all the time). In that case he's just an asshole.
