Sadly, it sounds like he's made his choice. I don't think it had to do with your not liking her. It had to do with him liking her more.

No because we didn’t talk and he definitely doesn’t need me to get to her. She’s not a supermodel
Then since you are no longer friends with her , he sided with her and that’s why he distanced himself from you
That’s fine. Next time I see him I’ll tell him he’s not obligated to speak to me and that he doesn’t have to ever. And honestly I thought he was gay and was only friendly to him because I thought we had some things in common like graduating from the same college etc
He wasn't interested in you, only her.
