What do you think about this dynamic? what should I believe?

So, here's the situation: I was at an event with my boss, and he couldn't drive me there, so he asked a gentleman (the head of that reataurant where the event was held) to drive me in his car. When he called me, he said, "Hello, this is restaurant delivery," and I thought is genuine. When I got in the car, after a while he shook my hand and told me who he was. I was stunned. After some days at another, we saw each other at another event. I was at a table very close to the front, and he was at the back. At one point, I wanted to go to the bathroom and passed by his table. I didn't see him at all, but later I found a photo in which I caught him looking at me as I was leaving. After I came back from the bathroom, I stayed at the back of the room, leaning on a cocktail table, and I spotted him. I started looking at him, and in less than a second, he turned to me and looked intently into my eyes, then looked at my shoes, my waist, and back at me. I smiled at him, he mimed a "hello," smiled subtly after that body scan, and I smiled back in response to his greeting. And today I had to spoke to him again after a month, business related. As we were discussing logistics, i wanted to hang the call and he said “I’m the one from restaurant delivery” and I told him that I really believed him, and he laughed, satisfied, and then said, "Very good, this is how it should be” and he said he should have sounded more serious, so I would believe him completely, and I told him I suspected it wasn't from the restaurant delivery, but I wasn't sure, and then he said, yes, that's what you thought (but he was very sarcastic). opinions?

I really wish she would’ve used like fake names or something because I read this twice and still don’t get it. How I interpreted it is that her boss couldn’t pick her up, so he asked the owner to get her instead and when the owner got there he said it was restaurant delivery. Lost me after that, I don’t understand the whole “I’m restaurant delivery” because you already knew? I don’t get it.

Sorry for the error I created. I will attach this explanation and I hope it will make sense. I am kinda nervous and I think I’m kinda incoherent

so I’m working at a restaurant and we had an event at another restaurant. Where the event was is a bit far and I didn’t have any transportation. My boss, Richard, told me he’ll drive me there, but he couldn’t anymore, so he asked this man, Jake, to take me there. Jake lied when he called me and said they he’s a simple driver, aka the one that makes the delivery for his restaurant, but he was actually the owner. of the restaurant where the event took place. He made a silly joke which I believed.

I didn’t really understand his bebaviour. And I didn’t understand why he told me “very good, as it should be” when I told him I believed his joke.

Okay I read through it again and I think the confusion was happening because you mentioned your boss, then the driver, then kept making references to him, him, him. So I didn’t understand if this was like both of them doing something or what the heck was going on😂. But I think I understand now that this is solely about the driver, right?

When I came back from the bathroom, I stood at the back of the room. I looked at him, and in less than a second, he turned toward me, stared into my eyes, then looked at my shoes, my waist, and then back at my eyes. I smiled at him, he mimed a “hello,” smiled subtly, and I smiled back.

Today, after a month, I had to talk to Jake again for business reasons.
When the call was ending, he said, “I’m the one from restaurant delivery,” proud of his joke. I said I really believed him, and he laughed in a very satisfied way. When I told him I suspected something, he sarcastically said, “Yes, that’s what you thought.”

What should I understand from Jake’s behavior? I am so young and I really don’t understand man’s behavior.

You really believed what? That he was someone else? Because it sounds like at this point you already know who he is, he clarified that in the car previously, so is there like a new joke or something?

To me is crazy cause he didn’t continue with anything or contact me. And that’s why I don’t understand why you start something you won’t continue and maybe that’s why I can’t believe he was actually flirting :))
