Whats wrong with stalking a female?

l see a lot of guys doing this, and it seems mostly natural to many men, including myself, that is, to want to google someone's name. look up someone's name in the student directory. try to find her on social media. show up to certain venues when you know the female's going to be there, ie, if she's a swimmer, show up to her practice if you know she's going to be there on tue afternoon. ok, so l think that if you like someone, you want to place yourself in someone's proximity, so what's wrong with showing up to the pool if you know she;s going to be there on tue afternoon? ls there any harm done if she doesn;t know dude's googling her name, and going through all her posts, and stories?

Looking on FB or other media to see a person's interests isn't stalking. They've posted that information voluntarily, so obviously they have no problem if you know it. If you approach them properly to begin a conversation, you've done nothing wrong even if you're rejected.

Stalking is when you make someone feel uncomfortable or threatened. Funny thing is, you might not consider the behaviors you describe as stalking when you're interested in the person doing it. But if you're not, that's an entirely different story.

None of that is necessarily bad if it seems like she reciprocate similar feelings. The showing up to specific locations ONLY to she her is a bit creepy. I've only exhibited such behavior with one girl. We had similar schedules, and I knew I would see her if I stuck to my schedule. I stuck to it, but seeing her was a big incentive. I have been a bit too observant of her online presence, but I initially justified it based on her behavior.

Stalking is a serious crime and a form of abuse. It is objectively illegal, psychologically damaging, and can escalate to violence. I know, I have been through it.

There’s a difference between someone trying to “get with you” and stalking. There is a reason staking is illegal.

If a man ever stalked me, I wouldn’t find it romantic in the slightest. Instead, I’d get a restraining order against him and, if necessary, get a gun. Showing interest in someone and stalking are two different things. There is a line and if you cross it. It is creepy and bad.
showing up to a game or competition to-watch someone you like is one thing. showing up to their practice is creepy.
