I usually reply, "I'm good. TY. How r u?" and then depending on whether I get a sense if they're just trolling or not I'll go from there. If I think they are trolling I will sometimes just send them a 3 paragraph reply on how my day is going and my different views on life and then they usually stop DMing. 😊
