Shyness for me. I'm shy but not really shy around people I know. They mistake it for being antisocial which I'm not at all. I love talking to the people I know.

Yes same as you i do more talking on here than I do any place else. I'm usually very quiet.
 If I'm working and I get introduced to somebody, they look at me in a whole different light, because I'm busy working. I'm getting paid for what I'm doing and I'm not really cold, but I just I just wanna complete my job and go and I have been introduced to people Ran into those people a week, 2 weeks later, start talking. And they tell me , oh , you're not stuck up like I thought you were l o l can I explain to them Well, my friend could introduce us together in a whole different atmosphere. Not at work.
And then they say you're nothing like I thought you were at all You're really nice and cool and outgoing I And i say errrrr lol

That my social anxiety means I don't want to make new friends or that I am incapable of doing things for myself. Yes, I am agoraphobic, but I can easily make friends online and have them visit and I can even occasionally be persuaded to get out of the house.

As for the second, my partners take my fear of going out one step further and just tend to do a lot of things for me and call it spoiling me when in reality it takes away some of my agency.

People thinking my shyness means I have a low sex drive. It's true I don't have uncontrolled desires and have to go plead girls to give a release, that doesn't mean I don't have desires.

I just see no value in casual sex and see a ton in restraint and love for the future and right now, working on my health and social skills and all. And also, uncontrolled sexual desires don't make a man tough, it makes him immature and idiotic.

I used to have something like that, as well... not because I was shy, I'm not shy... but I can be a bit reserved lmao, and I don't usually approach people

so... sometimes, people assume that I just don't like to talk to others, which I don't need to, but I don't dislike it, lmao

I do like people, a lot... but I just don't have a need to approach or start interactions, lol

People often think that I don't care because of how unphased by things I am. There was a time I used to be like "I've been through so much shit, I just move past bad things by default now" and it's such a unbelievable concept to most people they just get offended.

Just like you, it's me being shy. When I first meet people, I'm very quiet and won't talk much. People later told me they thought I was stuck up or arrogant but once I got to know them and became talkative, to the point I wouldn't shut up, they thought I was on drugs 😂😂

Same as you however I am selective of how and who I place my energy with.

Then people think I am a weak and still my mother is overbearing all the time. I take care of her part time so I don't have much choice to accept that she cannot just magically change.

I'm the same, I'm not good with new people. I need to be around someone a while to get comfortable. Once I get closer to someone I won't shut up 🤣. Also I mostly hang around girls and have some girly traits, doesn't mean I don't "like girls".
