No. Well yeah it means he doesn't want to rule out the possibility of an easy lay if he can do it without any effort or commitment. Like if sent him a picture of you licking your wet panties he will show up probably. But that isn't really why you want people to show up for you unless it is then to each their own. But nothing you have said to me makes me think this guy thinks of you as anything but a trick.

No. We talked on and off for some time but nothing has happened.

I ask because for a lot of men, it almost always comes down to something physical. If it hasn’t happened yet, I’d imagine it’s something he’d like to happen eventually, the timing just hasn’t aligned for one reason or another. This could also contribute to his frustration. In any case, you can gauge his interest by his efforts, and consistency. It doesn’t matter how often he talks about plans if he doesn’t follow through, same goes for him responding when you reach out, to me it all sounds like a means to an end vs him actually trying to date you.

I think that’s more about him leaving the door open for something physical to potentially happen. If he were interested in something more substantial, he’d be doing more than just responding to your texts. He’d actually follow through with his plans vs repeatedly disappointing you. In fact, I think that shows a lot about his level of overall care and consideration for you and your time. A guy who seriously doesn’t wanna lose you would not put himself in a position to do so. He wouldn’t be bailing on plans, or not taking much initiative to speak with you unless it’s a response to a text you sent. You should want someone who at least equally matches your effort.
