Can a man truly fall deeply in love more than once in his life?

Are Men able to fall in love with different Women throughout their lives, or do they only fall deeply in love once? With anyone who comes afterward never feeling as special?

I think so.
I had long term relationships with girls from the time I was 16. I was deeply infatuated with them all. Infatuation is the feeling that people associate with love. It is a craving. You think your partner is the most perfect person who ever lived. But infatuation can eventually fade. It's not the same thing as love.

When I was 36, I met a 30 year old named Petra. We fell in love and wound up living together for two years. Her looks, voice and mannerisms were my feminine ideal. She had a wonderful personality and also turned out to be hypersexual, orgasmic and extremely adept.
She was the first woman I ever loved with my heart and soul. She loved me, too. I would have wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.
As it turned out, though, we could now have made it as life-long partners. The reasons are too complicated to explain.
We separated even though we loved each other and she moved to another state.
I have never experienced such pain. I had a constant feeling like I had been punched in the gut and had the wind knocked out of me. It made me nauseous. There were times when I would double up and bawl when I was alone. It took me over a year to pull myself together and get on with my life.

Two years later, I met my future wife and we got married two years after we met. We have been happily married now for almost 30 years, had LOTS of fun, and built a wonderful life together. I love her with all my heart.

But honestly, I never got over Petra. We couldn't be together but I still love her and will never forget her. That doesn't diminish the love I have for my wife.

It depends on the man. But in general yes, I think most guys can fall in love more than once in their life. This whole "forever love" thing is a romantic fantasy promoted by Hollywood and erotic novels to appeal to a female audience. It's not grounded in reality. There are lot's more than one good woman in this world and as much as some women want to feel "special", you just aren't.

Let me flip the question on you. Can a woman fall deeply in love more than once in her life? Or should men just completely ignore divorcees and widows because they are never gonna see us as anything but a roommate and a meal ticket of convenience?

Well I've only fell deeply in love naïvely once in my life.

After getting dumped, it scars and changes you.
You love again deeply, but you always keep a part of your heart shielded.
Cuz you live in fear that if you ever expose that part of your heart and you get hurt, you could quite literally never put yourself together again... ever.

Of course they can fall in love more than once. But the love will NEVER be as pure as that first love. Foolishly he trusts her completely. He will never trust a woman like that ever again. He will put up a good front, but there will be a part of his heart that is his, and his alone. It will NEVER belong to her.
