Is he just being friendly, or do these texts mean he wants more than friends?

there's this guy I've been talking to since I was in the hospital in December, which is where we met. Or so I thought. But then once I got home, he's been super aggressive with the texts, always asking how I am, and saying things like "I miss you", which is odd considering he barely knows me, and "I want to "see you again"/when can I see you again. My question is, what sounds more "friendshippy" vs which sounds more "Lets date/bang!", "I miss you/I want to see you again" vs "I want to hang out/Let's hang out!"? Is saying he misses me when we only hung out for like a week in person even normal? Or am I completely overthinking everything? If you can, please explain your answer. Also, not sure if this makes a difference but he's liberal. As well, I definitely do not want more than friendship.

Its not normal for him to say he wants to see you again and that he misses you if he only wants friendship.

It's perfectly normal for him to say he misses you/wants to see you again if he just wants friendship.

It would sound more like a friendship if he says he wants to hang out again sometime.

Pretend I'm you and I did everything you did, and you're him... why are you texting me? Why are you saying you miss me? Why are you acting like we're all that and a bag of chips when we just met when I was all fucked up at the hospital?

Step out of the mind game. Do you see the mind games being played more clearly now? I know it's flattering maybe, but I can tell, that you can tell, it's a bit creepy and over the top. That's probably because it is.

Why don't you say, "Let's hang out this weekend." And do something innocuous like walk in the park, have coffee, breakfast or l unch? You need to have some time dating before someone misses you. His word choice is odd.

I think that’s a little much for someone who you barely spent any time with. To be saying how much you miss them and you’re looking forward to seeing them is coming on a little too strong and would be a turn off. I don’t think there’s any question that that’s a little too forward.
