Everytime I dated someone they are always up to something random, adventurous and interesting, all I like to do on a random Saturday though is to be home and watch movies.
1.7K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. When I was younger I was more adventurous and loved going out and doing things and meeting new people , but nowadays , I prefer to be at home and at peace over anything else , I still like to go out once in awhile , but I am completely ok if I don’t , I consider myself a content person that doesn’t need much to keep me satisfied , I can stay at home and listen to music and do things around my house that keep me entertained whether I am alone or not , I do prefer having someone by my side that is content as well , so my next girlfriend I hope is ok with being at home over anything else , because going out these days isn’t cheap whatsoever , with the cost of things and the gas prices being insane , I just got gas in my car today and 40 bucks barely filled my tank , i also noticed a lot of people around me getting gas as well and shaking their heads and a lot of them were paying cash instead of credit , which I thought was odd , but just goes to show most people are scraping by today just to make ends meet , why I am selling my home and downsizing , so I can live more comfortably, my home served it’s purpose and I am ok with letting it go and i am more than likely walking away with a pretty penny from it once I sell , it’s a cool house that my realtor said will sell fast. So keeping my fingers crossed that it does. I also plan on taking a vacation

2 moI think so. Nearly every woman I've known has been much more risk averse than the average guy. Still, there were a few girls I skied with in college who were outstanding! They could and would ski anywhere with a group of insane guys I skied with.
But in general I think women are socialized to avoid risk. Maybe there's even a genetic predisposition to avoid risk.
And frankly, the average guy in the US in his 30's to 60's is pretty much a couch potato. They lose that need for an adrenaline rush in their 20's for the most part. Which is why I've been doing a lot of stuff solo for a couple of decades now.

2 moThere probably are more men than women who want to get out and be physically active but it's not really a gender thing, just a personality thing. Plenty of both types exist in both genders.

2 moOpposite for me. I've always been more adventurous than I've every guy I've dated.

2 moYes, but I have a feeling that my definition of adventurous is different than yours.
To me, being adventurous means walking out the door with nothing more than what you can carry, with zero money, and hitch hiking (or walking) to the other side of the planet.
I think in this sense men are more adventurous. Worry about tomorrow tomorrow. Today is the adventure, so see what turns up. Women want to know where their next meal is coming from and where they will sleep, and other trivial things.00 Reply
2 moI’ve been around for over five decades and I can tell you that in all honesty, I haven’t noticed a difference between the sexes. Besides the obvious X games stuff that guys are more into, the kind of mentality and behavior that you’re referring to as adventurous is equally appliable to both sexes.
10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Yes, in the majority of cases. Men tend to be bold, daring, more athletic and adventurous. They will often encourage a woman to join them, but it's rarely the other way around. Women tend to be more fragile and risk averse, but that doesn't mean that they don't like thrills.
10 Reply1.7K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I am by no means the craziest guy out there but I do have some pretty crazy stories.
Like one time I went to a rodeo with my buddy ( which we do every year ) got incredibly drunk became best friends with a dude in the beer line then we decided to go exploring so I jumped out of the truck as it was moving still ( slowly ) and ran off into the woods laughing.
But for the most part because I have a pretty physically demanding labor job which also has me traveling around on a daily basis I don't really feel the need to go out all that much.
Though I do fair bit of backroading, town hopping and the like.

m 2 moLet me say it this way: Men are more risk-affine, women are more risk-adverse. There is a reason why it's mostly men landing in the ER after their weekend activities. :-D
40 Reply It’s the opposite for me… comfort is what unlocks my quirky side lol..
I get silly, adventurous, and start wanting to do the most random things. I love spontaneity.

m 2 mothere's no way to know for sure... but whoever first thought "you know what would be great to try... a mammoth burger... " most likely was a man, and a bunch other men saying " hold my fermented beverage" lol

2 moI think in general you’re right, but some women are very adventurous, plus a lot of women are adventurous in fantasy. (Watching TV or reading books can be a sort of adventure when you get really immersed in it.)

2 moBoys are raised to be doers. Nobody respects a deadbeat dude.
Unfortunately, this also means that a lot of guys with no meaningful direction tend to do a lot of weird, dumb and useless things with their time. “Jackass” made a bunch of particular idiots rich and famous, and now generations of boys think that being a self destructive idiot is awesome.00 Reply 7.8K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Opposite for me. Most men are bores.

In my experience yes. You’ll have adventurous people regardless of gender but women tend to be more risk adverse and men a little more crazy

Anonymous(45 Plus)2 moI’d say yes. You do have a handful of women who are adventurous, but in my experience it’s mainly men who are adventurous. Probably one of the main reasons we die earlier lol probably why men who supposedly get married live longer because the wife keeps him from doing stupid shit. A lot of times women are more cautious, even just in general going out in public. Men just usually get up and go, no care in the world.

2 momen are supposed to be risk takers apparently, so maybe that leads them to be more adventurous?🤔🤔

so... do you think was it a man, who said first " a mammoth burger would be great..." and then they just got it?
or was it someone's girlfriend who thought it could be nice to get one of those, so they guys just do it? lol - 2 mo
hmmmm🤔🤔 this sounds like it might be a chicken or the egg situation!!😂🤣😂
my guess is it was a bunch of men sitting around a campfire bragging about the biggest different animals they could beat in a fight😅 and eventually they got to mammoths lol

I don't know. Lot of adventurous women around.
30 ReplyI suppose it depends on the definition. Women may be more inclined to travel the world. However, if being adventurous involves taking risks, men are more adventurous, and it is not even close.

2 moIt just depends and depends on your definition of adventurous. There’s men who don’t really do much of anything and women who are extremely adventurous
00 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I guess so, remember this SNL skit and why they decided the Ocean would be masculine in Spanish and the Bible feminine.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/jn9AFMKlGLA00 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. It's not men -- many people are more adventurous than you are. But no problem, find a man who feels the same.

2 moYes. They are risk takers. That is one reason why they have a much higher death rate from accidental death. But is also why we are here today as it serves a critical evolutionary purpose.

I'd say that is true, but it's one of the reasons why men generally have a shorter lifespan than women.
00 ReplyAh, see that depends.. Men are like fuck it. Women go in mentally prepared that a man will save her if shit gets deep.
