Why do guys like your picture months later?

This is a guy who would randomly watch my stories for a few months then I eventually followed him and he then followed me back. As of recent he has started to like my pictures (that I posted years ago) what does this mean. We did grow up together but have lost contact for years, he’s a few years younger than me but has grown to be really attractive. What should my next steps be?

Funnily enough, a good girlfriend of mine went through this same thing like a year ago. I guess I’m a sense they grew up together since we all met in middle school and are in our 30s now, he showed up like a blast from the past we haven’t seen him in years. If you don’t like clicking outside links it’s totally fine, but to sum it up, it seems like this behavior is just generally normal on social media. A few people commented in confusion because they felt like even liking old content is typical social media engagement. Even if it weren’t and this is him trying to get your attention, as someone else in the post said, it comes off as breadcrumbing, and you’re better off not feeding into those games.

Why does it matter when he likes your pictures? In fact why does him liking your pictures mean anything?
