Big red flag, even with letting his foot heal doesn’t stop him from engaging in conversation with you or keeping in contact with you, there are so many mediums in which to stay in touch. even if you can’t physically walk that wouldn’t stop interaction with someone that mattered to you!
If Money and sex seems to be his only motivation he has to contact you he doesn’t have your interest in mind only his own !!!
Tread carefully and take care of yourself and keep your eyes open.

What matters is consistency.
