Situationship confusion: is he interested or just using me for sex?

I’ve been in a situationship/friends with benefits type relationship with this guy for several months now. We were supposed to hangout last weekend. He told me he would let me know what day but then never reached out. He text me Monday asking how I was doing such then made a slightly sexual comment. I basically said some thing about him only texting when he wants something and never just to talk and also brought up him not reaching out over the weekend. He responded to that message explaining why he didn’t say anything last weekend but didn’t say anything else after that aside from when I text him on Tuesday. Now I feel like I’m overthinking. by the way he did tell me he loves me back in February but not much else has came from that as of lately.
