Is my regular customer just friendly, or is he actually into me?

There is this customer that’s coming in for at least one year in my store. He was very nice and does some small stuff that can be mistaken for niceness, but recently he started to act weirder, like when I was asking him once “how are you”, he replied he was feeling shit. What customer does it? Or when I mentioned a music band he didn’t know, a few days after he remembered it and came back to me saying he listened to them and liked them. Or when he asked me about stuff, told him I was stressed and he asked me why, and then he followed up the next time he saw me underlying a specific thing I said to him during that previous conversation. I don’t know but might that be he just thinks we’re friends? Even if I like him, I was always professional woth him and never gave him many attention, only regular nice customer service as I do with anyone. I’ve always thought he was just nice cause he has a 1yr old kid and I’m married (he is around 40 and I’m around 35). But to me he’s putting too many efforts for a 2 minutes conversation with a barista he sees once or twice a week. So is it just me or is he playing some weird game? What does he want from me?

Is my regular customer just friendly, or is he actually into me?
