Did my former placement teacher intentionally match with me on a dating app?

This man had the same name, was identical in appearance, except the hair colour, same height, same degree, same interests and he swiped yes on my profile first. I am a tafe student, studying to be a teacher’s aide and I swiped yes on him too and said; Hi, how’s it going?

He never responded and the match expired. I think it’s one of my teachers from my previous work placements, who was flirting with me when I was there. Obviously neither of us can act on any interest until graduation, but I’m wondering, did he deliberately swipe yes on me, or might he not have known who I was until I messaged him? If he did, was he hitting on me, or just trying to generally express interest in a way that couldn’t get him into trouble, knowing that I’ve got a second work placement coming up at the same school in a few months?
