It's hard for me to pinpoint the funniest thing a guy's ever told me to break the ice or get me to laugh, but a friend of mine got to work this morning and was freaking out to the point that she couldn't breathe. So she tried calling her hubbie (got his VM) and texted her eldest (M25) to "tell daddy I need him."
The guy didn't even call. He just showed up and found her sitting in her car hyperventilating. He knocked at the window and motioned "put down your window".
She smiled through her tears and complied. He leaned in, kissed her and tried to look down her dress, asking, "What bra are you wearing?"
Good man. Mind you, not only did she start laughing and shove him away, but when she told me the story hour's later I was goign to die laughing bc I know these two and precisely how he said and did it just to make her shift gears to "My husband the meathead" from her freakout mode.
Guys: What's the funniest thing you've said/done to help pull a gal out of her freak-out mode and get her laughing?

I told my wife a story about an ex (bad start right but I'm not hung up on this one). She had a bad tendency not to listen to me when I mention "hey what you're doing is going to end in disaster or hurt you".
The story goes like this. She and I were at a Chinese place. It was a favorite. They placed a bowl of this green stuff out, and she started piling it on her plate, I tried to warn her that it was wasabbi, she said " I know pistachio pudding when I see it" so I kept my mouth shut. When she finished her food and took her first big bite of the "pudding", her face turned red, she started crying, snot started running out of her nose. She swallowed and screamed at me " why didn't you warn me!" I responded "yeah I did" the couple at the table next to us said "we heard him". I had such a hard freaking time not laughing. Suffice it to say, her inability to listen to me is the main reason we didn't last long.
Perhaps... perhaps one that made your gal laugh, not cry? Lol.
Oh it had my wife in stitches.
REALLY? I have to read it again, then, bc it seemed the gal in the story was crying from the wasabi (and remarkably uneducated to think it was... pistachio pudding, which I've never heard of in my life).
It was funny to her because if she had taken a moment to listen to my warnings it would never have happened.
Between my wife and I, we listen to each other, as a result we save each other a lot of embarrassment.
Oh and the story is about an ex not my wife specifically. And I definitely reserve the right to laugh at someone who refuses to listen to my very vocal warnings.
I’m just baffled how ignorant she is to think of pistachio pudding…
Right! Like just wow.
Did I tell you my daughter was dating a guy with a wooden leg? It didn’t work out so she had to break it off!
Aaaaah! Oh my...
It usually gets a laugh!
Funny, I don't recall ever doing that. Unless that nasty Shelly Oliver caused me to do something like that. The meanest little girl who ever lived.
