Why do men suddenly ghost on dating apps even when it’s going well?

There's been a few times I've been ghosted quite unexpectedly on dating apps. Like the conversation is going really well, they ask a lot of questions about me and show a lot of enthusiasm, and seems like we have a lot in common. And then they suddenly stop replying. Why?

Cause either they are modern and you are traditional, so they dont want to wait/invest.
Or you are both modern but you aren't hot enaugh to be worth the effort/or you aren't as pleasant to talk to as you think.

That's like asking, "why do women flirt and then reject a man". The answer is as varied as the woman. And why worry about it. Just move on. Understanding why is not going to change the reality of it.

They either got bored or found someone else. It is also hard to put any effort towards online dating when it is constantly nothing but discouraging.

Probably the same reason they ghost men. They found someone they consider "better" and dont have the courage to tell them.
