Have other men been wrongfully accused of sexual harassment at work?

I would like to know if men have been wrongfully accused of sexual harassment in a hospitality/corporate setting.

My boyfriend and I worked for the same company and there were signs the company was trying to get him to quit on his own. Starts off with exclusion from meetings/emails. Telling him to work longer hours, more deadlines, more events. He managed through it all, whatever they threw at him.

There were also fake reviews made about him and we all knew the reviews were fake.

Finally, they said someone (who no longer worked there) made a sexual harassment complaint.

He told me that they said he apparently offered her a bottle of wine after closing. And because she rejected him that he reduced her hours.

A part of me does not believe this because he was always afraid of how things look over cameras/surveillance. The other part of me is wondering what else he did not tell me.

He’s been completely distraught about the situation since, and it’s not like he hides or doesn’t talk about the situation. He feels like the company spread around this rumour making him feel like he can’t get hired anywhere now.

Has this happened to other men? What was your/the experience? How did you deal with it?

I would also like to add that there was no investigation done. He even asked for evidence and proof. Didn’t allow him to prove himself innocent at all. Just straight termination.

restaurants are hot beds of sexual harassment accusations , never really worked in one but had women who do claim i only went to there specific restaurant cause they were working it but all i like did was talk to them and order drinks from them its not like i actually expected anything to happen between us and i had no authority over them as i didn't work with them.

but nothing really came out of it and none of the places even told me to leave or talked to me privately about them. so i considered it over

I have. I had a few coworkers that have. It happens a lot.

I was working executive protection. I was being nice to a office lady. held the door open for her and helped her move in file boxes to a cart inside. job done, I left. Then got harassment charge. Security cameras saved my as.

when I was in active duty. a fellow instructor was charged for sexual discrimination when a out on the range. A female shooter had hot brass go down her shirt. she flinched, then paused, then freaked out (hot brass will burn). he got charged because he didn't help her fast enough. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. IG threw that out.

You want a labor attorney on this and file against wrongful termination, quickly. His first act would probably to get a statement from this alleged accuser. Wishing you the best!

He should go to the EEOC and they will force them to produce evidence, and the process moves very fast.
