Inspired by @Ladieman94's question: Do most guys not see when girl flirting with him?
What's the difference between the ways you treat a gal you want to befriend vs a gal you hope to take out and have a relationship with (vs a gal you think is just good for a one night stand)?

What Guys Said
Biggest one, he makes excuses to spend time with you.
Makes sense. What if he only does it in the moment you happen to be in the same space?
I'll chat when it's convenient, hang out in group settings, and keep conversation topics pretty light.
There is an inverse relationship between my attraction to a girl and my ability to speak in a cohesive manner to her.
It always depends on the guy, but I think generally, the biggest tell is how much he wants to spend time with you and communicate with you. And how fast he responds to you.
I presume that last bit refers to modern texting habits, yes?
Primarily yes, but it also refers to calling. I think how fast someone gets back to you, regardless of the means, is usually a good tell of how interested they are
Meh. I've been really bad at calling some people back on occasion even if they are SUPER important to me. Just some days are hectic or whatever. The texting thing is bothersome bc standard rules of engagement don't apply in the immediate-gratification culture.
I understand some days are hectic. But I'm pretty sure everyone has a few minutes to send a message if they actually are interested in someone and want to show that, regardless of how busy they are. Communication is key, and EVERYONE feels more desired when they are given more attention. A little effort goes a long way. It doesn't have to be anything big. Something like... "Hey! Today was pretty hectic on my end. I'm looking forward to relaxing with you this weekend." or something along those lines. Just anything to let them know they're on your mind is appreciated.
That little bit of effort is much better than just saying "I'm old-fashioned. I'm not really big on texting."
Depends on the individual guy and his level of interest. Haha.
I'm asking about the level of interest...
