What does it mean when a guy asks you about other guys?

For example: One guy always asks me at parties if there is someone there that I like/have ac rush on. Every time. Last time he said: There's gotta be SOMEONE here you like! Just out of the blue.

Personally, I have always interpreted it that when a person says that (unless you are of the same gender), they are attracted to you, however slightly.

By asking that question, they are very well aware of the unlikelihood that you would aim your answer at them-- but even so, there is a small hope in the depths of their stomach, whether they admit it to themselves or not.

I have playfully batted some male-friends about people that they are interested in. Strangely enough, I always (eventually) realize that I was, in some way, allured to them.

Every person is different... which means that he could genuinely be inquiring. The way that you have explained it makes the situation seem like he is prodding and teasing for information... he is likely intrigued by you, from what I can tell.

Ok, Thanks you for your answer! I think you could be right. Why would someone ask you repeatedly about other guys if there isn't something drawing him to you? Maybe he's not INTERESTED, but probably feel like he wants to know, for some reason, and that's something. I don't know.

my honest first impression is that HE likes you. He either wants you to say him OR he's trying to gauge your type. Otherwise why the hell would he care who you like so much? lol

It really depends. If you know the guy well, he could see you as a friend and be trying to help you out. Or, if he doesn't know you too well, he might be sort of flirting with you.

Ok, thanks! We're not friends, but we're "friendly". We don't hang out in our free time. I don't get the feeling that he's trying to help me out in that sense. Can I ask you a question? When he said "there's gotta be someone here you like", he continued saying "some cute guy in your class" (go to college). But he is not in my class. Did he say that so I wouldn't think he meant himself? I answered that there were someone there (meaning him, but didn't say that). He didn't say anything. continued.
