Does being self-conscious turn a guy off?

I've always been self conscious about my weight. I'm actually right on track with what I should be, maybe a little less, but I'm still not perfect.(I'm not trying to sound conceited) I know I'm hot, but I want more.

Yeah being self-conscious can be a real turn off. Especially if you're the kind of girl that just can't take a compliment, or if you're the kind of girl who is always complaining that you're not flat enough, your boobs aren't big enough, your ass isn't toned enough or don't have a six pack or something. I mean seriously, you don't have to be perfect. Just look cute, and accept your looks for what you got. If you complain about it too much, or reject all compliments, you start looking pathetic and guys start getting irritated, turned off or just plain leave.

So yeah it can be a real turnoff.

depends how far you take it. If I can never compliment you because you think I'm lying to you out of pity then it's gonna suck.

Yeah. I get tired of it when I try to compliment a girl and they just say I'm being nice and lying to them to make them feel better. Seriously, It actually pisses me off sometimes. I don't give idle compliments.

yep, been there done that. she was so sweet but she had huge self esteem issues and would NEVER accept me telling her that's she pretty.

I know it can be hard to ignore insecurities, EVERYONE feels them, trust me, even if they don't show it. What I do, is even if it feels like I'm lying to myself, I still tell myself I'm hot and keep telling yourself that, even if you don't believe it. eventually you will and your confidence will show. focus on your features you DO like about yourself, instead of the ones you dont. play up the features you feel confident about, you'll feel so good, trust me !
