We’ve been talking for almost a year (we don’t live close). He’s admittedly very shy/self conscious but he was pretty chatty, joked with me, and he even initiated some dirtier texts in the beginning. He’s never tried to do anything more than kiss me. Now he seems to take everything I say super serious all of a sudden. My humor hasn’t changed, but he’s quick to correct me if I joke that he’s anything other than innocent and quiet. But at the same time he shoots down anything nice I say to him even if it’s not a direct compliment.
Why would a guy suddenly be so self conscious around me?
