So you meet this amazing girl- she's hilarious and fun; you have so much in common, it's crazy! You feel like you could talk to her for hours about anything and want to hang out with her all the time. You don't think you'll ever find anyone else like her, but she is either fat or far from pretty. Do you friend zone her or ask her out in spite of it? Does one or the other make more of a difference?

There has to be physical attraction as well. It doesn't matter how cool or smart or funny you are or whatever, if a man doesn't like what he see's, he's not going to get romantically interested. You are right, love and attraction should GROW over time but there has to be SEED to begin with, and making him laugh isn't going to work. Guys are visual, bottom line. It's just how it is. Would you really want to be with someone anyway, who didn't think you were beautiful or sexy? It would kill my confidence if my fiance told me I wasn't attractive to him, not that he would EVER do that :o)

Not to sound superficial from my experience people with the greatest personalities tend to be unattractive. Its almost like a compensation for the quality that they are lacking.

With this being said, I would give this person a chance. There is more to life than the way you look. Why immediately shoot someone down over the exterior? They could be the one for me, and if I were to do this I would never have known this because I am way too shallow.

no offence but if he's not blind then there is less than 25% chance he would date her and if he wasn't bling he would most likely choose the 'fat' one over the 'ugly' one, but to someone the 'ugly' one might be beautiful

If she is the perfect woman, except for looks I would marry her. Fat, or far from pretty? I would prefer far from pretty. I have struggled with my weight, and now that I have lost it, I do not want to marry someone with an eating disorder.

So you believe there has to be something there to begin with rather than an attraction based on connection that grows over time? I think I would personally prefer that connection that I know is going to last than going through a bunch more flakey 10's who are all stuff and no substance.

yes, there has to be an initial draw to her physically. thankfully, life isn't really like that though and I don't have to choose between 2 unappealing choices.
