So my best guy friend is always pretty much flirting with me.

He always holds my hand, cuddles with me, calls me beautiful every single day, says he would kill himself if he ever lost me, kisses me on the lips, etc...

A lot of people think that we are dating, but we aren't.

The thing is, he says that he doesn't like me like that.

He says that he wouldn't date me because we are "too close" and he thinks we are like family.

I actually like him a lot, I think I might be in love with him...

Do you think he likes me? What should I do about this?

omg ha ha been through the exact same thing. Same reason my best guy friend gave me for not wanting to make things official. Want to know how it ended? I fell in love with him, and he went for another girl and I was so broken and non-functional for months. We also don't talk at all anymore and I lost my best friend. My advice is that if he isn't willing to make things official and call you his in front of everyone then stop the kisses and cuddles. I really regret not doing that myself because I just ended up heart broken. I made things too easy for him whenever he wanted to hookup and I think because of that he got bored. that may not be the case for you but if you are in love with someone that doesn't want to date and just hookup, I don't see how it can turn out happy... This is a tough one. OF COURSE you love him, but think about HOW you love him. Possibly as a brother. If he's not feeling it, you can't force it. What you can do is to put a little distance between you -- since I'm 90% sure that you're hanging around him so much is preventing you from finding an actual Boyfriend -- and just see what happens (i.e., his reaction to the new attention you're getting).

If he starts grumbling, you then know his true feelings for you, but also allow yourself to figure out your feelings for him.

Well I have tried getting an actual boyfriend, and he gets all overprotective and pissed off. Every time I ask him his opinion on if I should date a guy, he gets all upset and always tries to come up with something bad to say about every single one of them.

You go up to him one afternoon and stand very close. Tell him "Now look, you're cramping my style and acting pissy whenever I'm around another guy, but you say you're not into me. What gives?" DON'T MOVE BACK A SINGLE CENTIMETER. Either he'll kiss you or he'll give you the straight facts about how he feels.

He wants the intimacy without an actual title cauz he's worried about losing the friendship.

Ask yourself this: if you decided to date someone else, would he be bothered at all?

I think he would.

What I say to do is...tell him that you want to be in a relationship. This will erase all doubt in his mind about your reaction.
