Ladies what makes a guy confident?

so I just want to know what a lot of you ladies think makes a guy confident?

I have heard all the time that a girls number one turn on is a guy who is confident but in your opinion what is it that you like that makes a guy confident?

If you can hold a witty conversation, make both of you laugh, then you are definitely confident and comfortable with the situation you are in. And that's all we ask for. Having a crush on a girl and being too afraid to talk a decent amount around her because you are afraid of saying something wrong is a sign that you aren't confident. Don't lose your cool when she's around.

Eg. Guy standing next to his crush with his hand in his pockets smiling. Vs. guy leaning into his crush and telling her a very lame joke. You need to be pretty confident with yourself to pull off a lame joke.

personality. insecure people come off lame and negatively. lets take GUY out of equation and change it to a girl...would I want to hang around an insecure wet blanket girl whos trying to be my friend or do I want a fun dynamic bestie who loves to have new experiences and is positive? hint: don't want to be dragged down by the wet blanket...so there's your answer on why we like confident guys. they're better company. your personality and how you feel about yourself makes you confident

Well then how do we gain confidence when the reason why we feel like garbage is because women won't give us the time of day?

In other words the cause of us feeling negative and being a wet blanket is women consistently rejecting us?

A guy tends to be confident when thing are going well for him -- at least that is when guys APPEAR most confident and carefree. There are a few types of guys out there who always seem confident, but actually don't have much going for them; there are a lot of guys who have a great deal going for them, but have self-esteem issues. Confidence itself is an illusion...

well yea I agree with you for the most part that's why I was asking this question. It seemed odd to me that girls like a confident guy when most guys are not really content with themselves so I was viewing it like girls like a guy who can put on a show or hide who he really is. it seems like a tricky subject that will vary with each individual person.

It's not that they like the slick act, but that they want to feel they're with a strong, successful, dependable guy, so they allow themselves to fall for the act...

its sounds really kind of hopeless when its put like that.

what if a girl comes across a guy who is actually all those things but is maybe quiet or shy or just not like the guy putting on the show do you think most ladies will actually pay attention to him or stick with the guy can put on a better act?

I guess I just want to know if you ladies can tell if a guy is actually confident or if its just another dude acting like he is?

See, the GOOD GUY hampered by his own shyness is the most frustrating sort, because everyone WANTS him, but nobody GETS him till he gets stuck with some gold-digger and is ultimately embittered by a negative experience. I *just* watched my dream guy marry someone last week who he barely ever mentioned -- in fact, never mentioned -- till I saw the ring on his finger and questioned him about it. That was the first time he was actually direct and honest/open about himself...and that was too late...

I am sorry to hear that. I am curious though. If you don't mind me asking if he is your dream guy why is he married to someone else? did you guys just never tell each other how you feel?

What do you mean everyone wants him? but no one gets him til its too late? are you saying lots of girls may want this good guy but he never gets over his shyness so he ends up with someone else like a gold digger and then its too late?

We just never got around to it. There was a ton of hinting, but I was separated (i.e., still off limits because it felt like cheating, though I was definitely not heading back to my ex at all).

Girls WANT to be loved and pampered the way this guy did for me. At some point, he convinced himself that I was just around him to recover from my divorce (*untrue*) and clearly moved on without me...without telling me.

Yes, he HAS to shake of the shyness or someone will definitely take advantage of him...

I will make it simple and blunt for you. So here it is: If you are thinking twice before smacking a bitch on her face then you are not confident but if you can stand up for yourself and smack the bitch in the face then you are confident" .It sounds rude but think about it.

well yea of course that is the goal for most guys to get laid and when we do its a great feeling because sex is great but we were able to do what we set out to.

Id say sex is the best way for a guy to feel confident. I know I always feel way better after hooking up.
