I like being fit and healthy and due to that I am in tremendous shape,so if you say to a random girl,you are having friendly conversation in gym that your a fitness freak and she responds I can see that,does that mean she was checking me out ?

in my words fitness freaks are someone who take their fitness regime seriously,i don't see any point of enrolling in a gym if you are not regular nor you are serious about being fit and healthy whenever anyone mention gym,people tend to beleive it's just bunch of buff guys in wifebeaters just pumping iron and drinking protein shakes while comparing their arms,people do other stuff too like running,rowing,cycling,skipping which keeps a person healthy and fit as well as fight bodyfat

1st off being a freak of any kind is usually a negative attribute. Id honestly have to say here that her facial expressions and tone of voice would make the difference here. If she smiled and spoke with sarcasm, she probably thinks you're a jersey shore douchebag in love with himself (which is my guess because you come off talking about YOURSELF first and DUH you're in the gym!) However, if she said that whilst she eyed you up and down, she might be interested, if she didn't raise her eyebrows when she did it! FYI if you are talking about yourself when you first meet someone it tells how into yourself that you are! If you ask her about her, that's showing interest in her. There's really no room to love someone who is in love with themselves! Also I myself am into fitness, workout..the body says that, no need to mention it. 2. If a guy maintains a job and works out and has buddies nights...how much time will he make for a girl? Girls love spending QUALITY TIME with their man (not always out clubbing where you can parade your muscles around for attention either!) I personally prefer a man who is athletic looking, not muscle-heads!

actually we were just having a friendly conversation and yes I've asked about her,her name and her activites and we were at gym so basically we would be ending about talking at gym and other activties after introducing each other and I am not dressed up in tights or muscle flaunting shirt

Come on, she is standing in front of you when you say that. No one needs to do a big once-over to agree that you are in to fitness if you are in great shape. 1) The point for me would be what is more important, your workouts or me? I get you may not have to choose, but as we get older, have careers, children, houses to take care of, a guy's priorities are more of a concern.

2) The girl made a casual comment. It could have been a polite response, or maybe she has noticed you around. If you are interested in her, ask her out. That will settle any question you have about her interest in you.

1)I am single so I am occupying myself with activities ,when I had a girlfriend I worked out less but with same intense and attitude.i've spended lot of quality time with her though she never appreicated me for that

Your question sounded like you thought this girl was checking you out because you are a hot number from working out and you were wondering what cred you get with girls for being in "tremendous shape". Your wording makes you sound like those fitness freaks who think the girls are checking them out in the gym and will drop their panties at a moment's notice. No way, fitness freaks are usually those people that seem to be overly cocky with their bodies, like those guys that like to constantly pose shirtless in their pics. I mean honestly a guy in decent shape is fine with me, like someone who takes care of themselves and not someone who thinks he has to have the biggest muscles and leanest abs. We all want someone who takes care of their body but we don't want someone who is obsessed with it and that's what "fitness freak" implies. Now I don't know if she was checking you out, if you're buff then its just an observation anyone who was looking at you could note.

I agree with your point ,you can't just over look into the word freak,fitness freak as a single word is described for people who are serious about being fit not someone who is obsessive or a gym dweller,I ve seen many articles about celebrities being called fitness freak for working out regularly to lose weight or sculpt their body and these fans drooling over them

Well yeah but you can't compare yourself to a celebrity. Their fans are already drooling over them and want to know as much about them as possible - good or bad, they don't care. This is a girl you've just met and the word "freak" is going to stick out. As you can see from the female responses, most of them do think of it as obsessive. You can explain it but it would just save yourself the trouble if you just said it another way.

there's nothing wrong when you're saying that you're a fitness freak (in person or not). I like guys with active lifestyles and who are dedicated to a fitness regime (shows discipline and goal achieving). I do weight lifting like 4-5/week since beginning of summer and I wonder why other girls are so clueless about fitness and importance of resistence..next time you talk to her or try to approach a new girl, try to observe her routine or lifting technique, and then make a more to maybe do a critique. it may or may not work, but I know that I wouldn't mind taking advice from a buff guy, so to speak :P
