How can you tell if a girl is creeped out?

I'm usually a passive person, but I try my best to be forward and stepping up to face my fears (of rejection)- which often backfires and the girl usually ends up creeped out by me. It always happens whenever I try to take the initiative.

Look for signs of interest, if they are lacking then just say "it was nice talking to you see you later" and move on to the next one. These signs included her asking questions about you or laughing/eye contact, etc.

When I get creeped out I will usually keep looking away and not listen to a word. I may even fidget a lot, look around for any escape route and be very unresponsive.
