Guys: brushing your arm against hers on "accident"

When a guy does this Is he trying to test her reaction, or does he just really want to touch her?

A guy that I know walked by and I saw him move his arm towards mine deliberately so that they brushed when he went past, like he wanted it to seem like an accident. Just curious about it.

Are you trying to get close to him? If so, it's bound to happen. In my experience it's the girl that's always floating around and trying to get close... If I'm comfortable with her either as a friend or more I'm fine with her getting in my space. When I touch girls it's deliberate and direct, not passively brushing by, that's why I'm asking if you are trying to get close to him.

Nope, definitely not.

I was standing still and there was plenty of space to go around me, but he walked through my personal space and deliberately made his arm brush mine... I was just wondering why guys do this... are they trying to gauge the woman's response (to see if she would welcome advances from him) or if they just want to touch her.

I suppose it would be the same as a girl... You want to be near the ones you want right?

There is no accidental touching unless one or both of you run in a hurry, didn't see each other and bumped

If he did it on purpose he may have wanted to touch you unless he did it for some other reason.
