When I see an obese person, the first thing I think is that they must have some severe sadness in their past to have developed such poor eating patterns.
It often is. In my case I was depressed and food was more comforting than hitting the gym.
It's hard to do the healthy thing when depressed.
It isn't. We just tell people that because we are developing a culture of inclusion. People immediately assume an overweight person is lazy, uneducated, and poor. It is just how it is
I know it's not okay. Many people say it isn't ok. Also, many who have put on weight are trying to lose it.
I have an issue with my thyroid that makes it hard for me to lose weight. I'm about 20 pounds overweight and I'm trying to lose it. I eat healthy and I exercise but the weight is dropping slowly. I may need to get medication for it.
But yeah, thanks for this. We need to realize it isn't okay to over eat and to abuse our bodies like this.
Sometimes fat people have slow metabolisms. It can happen for any number of reasons. I however have learned to get past looks. Want to know why? And here is a good comparison. Sometimes you can pick out the present with the prettiest wrapping only to open it and find a pile of dog shit inside. So with that being said, Looks don't count for much.
Don't worry about what other people say or think. We are judged by what comes out of our mouth rather than what goes inside. Stay humble.
I dont get it either. Yes some people have health problems that keep them from losing weight but it doesn't make up for the people that don't. Being obese is not healthy and should never be okay. Its not that hard to get up and at least walk around your own house and do things. Its a shame and people try to make it seem right.
I don't think anyone has the right to shame anyone else because of their weight. If someone is healthy and fit great but to assume to know why every obese person is the way they are and think it's an easy solution to fix would be ignorant. I guess people do it to feel better about themselves. Personally I don't judge.
I know, it bothers me too, especially since it usually is just total laziness. I have one friend that went from being a normal size if even skinny to overweight in a year, because he did nothing but sit at home every day playing games. Then he turns around and tells me he'd rather be fat than skinny and girls should accept his being overweight, although, he's the type to run and hide from reality, so...
I agree being overweight is not good but there are overweight women that are preety. I am sure you have seen some
There are a lot of pretty overweight women. . People on here seem to think thin makes you better
@condor78 yeah there are many overweight women that are preety. Just because someone is thin doesn't make them a better person.
I totally agree with you ~ no one should be made fun of because of their body of course but once people get out of the healthy weight zone they should be told about the risks and try to get back to healthy.
And all God's people said,

I'm born fat but wasn't made fat. I have healthy habits, but genetics that have a higher bmi and body fat percentage than what some people think looks healthy. I was also nearly hospitalized for anorexia a couple years ago so I have a great deal of knowledge about what's "healthy", healthy, and unhealthy.
You say that, but primarily the food industry is at fault. They fill everything with sugar and low fat, those 2 year olds aren't choosing to be fat by themselves. It isn't just "not enough exercise" either, people need to stop eating the crap they are sold as processed food.
yep, take responsibility to eat halthy, and get the 30minutes of excercise per day (btw, that excercise isn't for the weight, but overal body health).
your weight is 80% determined with what you eat.
I think it may be because almost half of the western civilization is overweight. But I agree with you. If you are an alcoholic and you need a new liver you get to the end of the list, so I don't see why obese should be treaten differently (apart from those who have REAL health problem and because of these they can't help but gain weight). If you like to eat like you're gonna die tomorrow you should take your responsabilities for that
I never understood these things. Do you honest to god actually care for anyone's health? Are you a doctor? Or, do you just want to dictate how others run their lives? If someone wants to be heavier or can't do anything for their weight, that is up to the individual and that persons health care professional. Not nosey Nancy in lulu lemons from across the street.
totally agree!!!
Over/Underweight? Unhealthy. Is it beautiful? Subjective per every individual.
I don't think that woman in the picture looks good personally. She may be fit, but her stomach grosses me out.
Also, there are a LOT of people who are overweight and have genetic issues which they can not help. Or they have a disease which causes them to gain weight/be unable to lose it (type II diabetes).
I don't know why people don't think about this.
Her stomach grosses you out? You must be use to seeing the fat around yours, that's probably why. Lmao... a fit and toned stomach grosses you out, that's hilarious, we get it, fat and cellulite are better to you.
How on earth does her stomach gross you out?
First of all, though subjective, the model in the pic is hot and her stomach isn't so ripped it looks masculine or too much. I think it's perfect. Second, thr fact is most people are fat due to lifestyle choices not from genetics and disease like thyroid issues.
Most people who are fat eat terribly I know this because I interview fat people who come to me to get trained and in terms of genetic factors and disease it's very minimum. My best friends a doctor and we discuss this subject and have a good idea why the general public in the US is super fat.
@Cerenityy: You're clearly fucking stupid... lol. That's okay. I've seen better toned stomachs, but hers is gross to me. Fucktardery is strong with within you apparently. :D
@Take Owner: Explain why you like whatever your favorite candy is. Easy answer: you can't. It just does.
@Justanothergager: "Most" people is a BIASED perspective because there is no proof of that. Let's use facts--some are. some aren't.
Just because you and your doctor friend have experiences where most people who come to you don't have those issues doesn't mean that the majority does not. Why would a person with diabetes who's having a hard time losing weight go to a gym when they know it's because of their disease that it's very hard to lose weight? Think.
"You're clearly fucking stupid" ... says the girl who finds an active healthy woman with a nice toned stomach "gross", you had to find something negative about the girl because it doesn't appeal to your standards lmao... you AND you're logic is "pretty fucking stupid" if you ask me.
I see it perpetuated the most by modern feminists.
And I agree it's unacceptable that tax money in such great amounts is spent on their accommodation.
Thank you for remaining fit, just being nice to look at in general is a positive influence on society in my opinion
Hey! I can be unfit and hot haHa
But you'd look better if you were fit right?
Depends. Some guys like a little something to grab ;)
Me too, I like grabbing a girls hips, her ass, and breasts gently, not bellies and love handles. (I'm not directing this at you by the way, just the concept of something to grab is different)
i dont care if others are fat. nobody really is thinking that an obese figure is better than a fit figure, they dont want fat girls having super low self esteem. everyone should feel good about themselves no matter what their size is. i dont think there's 1 magic weight where we can be like "oh ok you're allowed to be happy with yourself". even the obese people need to start somewhere
Well yes, they are hiding behind 'curvy' because that takes far less effort than the lifestyle change that being fit and healthy would mean for them.
That's why I am digustested by the dad bod trend. Im not telling you to be ashamed of yourself. im telling you to want to improve yourself for your confidence and health
