Motivational: Cancer Patient and Friend Dance to "Juju On That Beat"

This cancer patient who's going through Chemo, had a great time as she danced to the song 'Juju on that beat' with her friend who came to visit her at the hospital. She shared the video and wrote:

Who says cancer and chemo have to get get you down? We'll have the last laugh!! Having an awesome chemo buddy like @danilax21 who is ALWAYS down for a dance party helps too!! We want to show the world that dancing and laughter is the BEST medicine. We are #AnaStrong !!

The woman on the right looks like my friend's cousin.

I think it was 9 years ago when a student of mine was diagnosed with leukemia. I almost cried when his father told me why he wouldn't be coming to class. At his age, he stood about an 85% chance of recovery. Still, that's about the same odds as Russian Roulette. For those of you who are parents, imagine watching fate point a revolver at your child's head and playing Russian Roulette. Any rate, his younger brother continued to come to school. I gave him an assignment. I "prescribed" that he tell a joke or funny story to his brother every day until he's better.

Happily, my student with leukemia is now attending college with plans to be an engineer. He drops by every once in a while just to make me feelaugh old.
